πŸ“’ STEM WEEK 2026 | iSTEM English Medium School

September 20 @ 9:00 am - September 26 @ 5:00 pm

πŸš€ Don’t Just Make a Model. Solve a Problem.

Something exciting is coming to iSTEM!

STEM WEEK 2026 is an opportunity for our students to step beyond textbooks and classrooms, explore real-life challenges, think creatively, design solutions, build prototypes, test their ideas, learn from mistakes and improve their work.

πŸ“… 20 – 26 September 2026

This STEM Week, we want our students to discover that STEM is not simply about making an attractive model.

It is about thinking, questioning, experimenting, creating and solving.

πŸ”¬ What will students experience?

During STEM Week, students will be encouraged to:

πŸ’‘ Identify a real-life problem or challenge
🧠 Think critically and explore possible solutions
πŸ”Ž Research and investigate
πŸ“ Design their own ideas
πŸ› οΈ Build a prototype or working model
πŸ§ͺ Test whether their solution works
πŸ”„ Identify weaknesses and improve their design
🀝 Work collaboratively as a team
🎀 Explain their idea and learning in their own words

The journey is as important as the final project.

🌱 From IDEA to INNOVATION

Identify a Problem β†’ Think β†’ Design β†’ Make β†’ Test β†’ Improve β†’ Present

This is the spirit of STEM Week.

Students are encouraged to create original ideas based on genuine problems, rather than simply copying projects from YouTube, Facebook or the internet.

A simple project that solves a real problem and is truly understood by a student can be far more meaningful than a large and attractive model that they cannot explain.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ A special invitation to our students

Dear Students,

This is your opportunity to ask:

β€œWhat problem can I solve?”

Look around you.

Think about problems you see at home, at school, in your community or in everyday life.

Ask questions.
Share ideas.
Try different solutions.
Build something.
Test it.
Make mistakes.
Learn from them.
Improve your design.
And proudly explain what YOU created and why it works.

Your project does not have to be the biggest.

It does not have to be the most expensive.

It does not have to look perfect.

It should show your thinking.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦ A message for our Parents & Guardians

Dear Parents and Guardians,

STEM Week is designed to give students an opportunity to experience learning beyond traditional classroom activities.

We encourage parents to support, encourage and ask questions, but allow students to take ownership of their ideas and projects.

The goal is not to create a perfect model with adult assistance.

The goal is to help children develop:

✨ Critical thinking
✨ Creativity
✨ Problem-solving skills
✨ Innovation
✨ Research and investigation
✨ Teamwork
✨ Communication
✨ Confidence
✨ The ability to learn from failure and improve

Let your child explore.

Let them experiment.

Let them make mistakes.

Most importantly, let them think.

Because the real achievement is not simply what a student makes.

It is what the student learns while making it.
